Miroslav Pilj
was born on November 3. 1961. in Sarajevo. He has been writing since 1980. as a
member of TIN writing unity on Faculty of Political sciences,where he published
first articles in some magazines.
Besides poetry, he writes novels,
satirical stories, and short aphoristic forms. He is also the author of several
dramas, among them is "WHY?"
(hopeless with no bad intentions), which has been performed for the first time
in "Tone Cufar" Theatre in Jesenice, Slovenija. He also wrote "MAGICAL
DUST" (fairy-tale play
for kids) produced by Compagnie de action - Paris.
He is also a screenwriter for "DTV
SCHOOL" serial produced
by RTV BiH.
At the end of the '80.-s he
wrote poetry for singing (lyrics) more intensively, and he started the
cooperation with many composers, bands, and singers from B&H and abroad.
Back in 1995. he published
his first book of poetry for singing "THE
ANSWER",
published by International Peace Center and Sarajevo Winter Festival.
He is now living and working in Sarajevo, as Promotion Director at
"Fern" radio station.
Miroslav (Miro) is married to a famous Bosnian singer Zeljka
Katavic-Pilj, and has 2
kids.
Many songs from this book were used by very famous Bosnian musicians and
singers, and some of the songs became hits!
